Lead Engineer – Steam Turbine Product Service

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership or play a key role in resolving multiple intricate steam turbine issues.

• Guide and train colleagues in your areas of expertise and experience.

• Promote collaboration across engineering, design, commercial, manufacturing, suppliers, and other teams.

• Create and implement technical solutions tailored to customer requirements.

• Lead and present at technical conferences and events with customers.

• Direct cross-functional Root Cause Analysis teams addressing GE equipment non-conformances.

• Initiate and lead efforts to enhance starting reliability, availability, and reduce trips.

• Offer technical assistance for new unit installations, start-ups, outage work scopes, and critical issues.

• Write and mentor others in crafting internal and external communications, such as TILS, ETC, and customer presentations.

• Relay fleet and product concerns into the NPI process and GE leadership to spot opportunities and enhance offerings.

• Engage in global product service meetings to deepen expertise and strengthen the global team's knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in steam turbine field installation/maintenance or a related field.

• Proficient communication skills in English.

• This position requires approximately 20% travel within and outside the region.

• Proven expertise in steam turbine design, installation, and/or maintenance.

• Self-motivated individual with the initiative and interpersonal skills to direct cross-functional projects and ensure their completion.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and clearly communicate requests and requirements.

• Capability to build relationships across the organization to foster loyalty and commitment.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven project management skills.

• Able to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and exhibit leadership in pursuing appropriate engineering actions in challenging conditions or situations.
