This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Oversee comprehensive formal investigations into escalated claims, including those related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower incidents, ethics breaches, and leadership misconduct.
• Develop investigation strategies, outline scopes, pinpoint applicable policies, and create strategic frameworks for witness interviews.
• Execute sensitive, impartial interviews with complainants, witnesses, and respondents.
• Collect, examine, and maintain physical, digital, and circumstantial evidence.
• Produce objective and timely investigation reports that detail findings of fact, credibility assessments, policy relevance, and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure meticulous case files and documentation adhere to legal standards and corporate guidelines.
• Oversee and record case progress within the department's ER Case Management System.
• Collaborate with Employment Counsel, Compliance, and senior operational leaders regarding findings and necessary corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to business leaders on intricate policy applications and resolutions of workplace disputes.
• Analyze employee relations case metrics to identify multi-site risk areas.
• Recommend policy updates, leadership coaching, managerial interventions, and tailored training to avert future issues.
• Mentor and offer technical escalation support to the Employee Relations Specialist.
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• At least 5 years of specialized Employee Relations or workplace investigative experience.
• Significant experience managing high-volume, multi-location, or distributed frontline workforces.
• Advanced, expert-level knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA).
• Outstanding investigative interviewing skills and evidence assessment techniques.
• Proven ability to maintain strict neutrality and objectivity during emotionally charged escalations.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a proven record of producing clear, concise, and defensible investigative documentation.
• Preferred: Master's Degree.
• Preferred certifications include Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH), SPHR, or SHRM-SCP.
• Preferred experience with specialized ER case management platforms (e.g., HR Acuity, Navex, ServiceNow HRSD).
• Preferred experience in clinical healthcare, diagnostic imaging, oncology solutions, or highly regulated patient-care settings.
• Preferred experience with Workday, VMS, or other recruitment/workforce technologies.
