Lead Electrical Quality Assurance/Quality Control Specialist – Construction Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review and manage QA/QC programs throughout all phases of the project.

• Ensure adherence to contract specifications, design documents, relevant codes, and standards.

• Conduct regular audits of contractors and offer recommendations for enhancement.

• Confirm that contractors utilize the latest design-document revisions and keep precise change records.

• Verify that installed progress and work outputs are consistent with drawings, specifications, and contractual obligations.

• Monitor work progress and report significant developments in daily reports.

• Assist partners and stakeholders in resolving project issues and formulating innovative solutions.

• Oversee the storage and maintenance of project materials and equipment.

• Examine construction test reports and compliance documentation, including welding, concrete, NDE, welding procedures, and welder qualifications.

• Supervise the quality of soil compaction, concrete placement, structural steel bolt-up, rotating equipment alignment, and electrical cable testing.

• Maintain quality records and as-built documentation.

• Compile audit results and performance metrics for project management and stakeholders.

• Support contractors in pre-planning quality control processes.

• Document inspection observations, deviations, and non-conformances.

• Track non-conformance reports and corrective actions.

• Summarize QA/QC performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

• Serve as the liaison between contractors/subcontractors and the client.

• Enforce safety protocols and procedures.

• Keep records of quality activities, inspections, equipment conditions, and performance metrics.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to plant operators, maintenance teams, and stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical quality assurance, operations, and maintenance within the power generation sector.

• A proven history of successful project completions.

• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes & standards, and best practices related to power plant construction, operations, maintenance, and safety.

• Knowledge of NFPA, NEMA, OSHA, and NEC standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capability to lead, motivate, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the United States.
