Lead DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and implement software solutions utilizing React and .Net.

• Develop DevOps solutions leveraging Jenkins, Ansible, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes toolsets, and proprietary solutions from Fifth Third.

• Engage with customers directly to identify and resolve level 3 deployment, configuration, and architecture challenges.

• Provide training and share expertise with the third-party operations team.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish technical requirements and project specifications.

• Conduct code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.

• Offer technical guidance and support to fellow team members.

• Design and implement new features while continuously enhancing technical products and applications.

• Serve as a technical leader and provide expertise as a DevOps Engineer within an agile team.

• Define system architectures and collaborate on solution design with software engineers.

• Develop software that meets code quality standards and automation objectives.

• Employ test-driven development practices.

• Engage in communities of practice by contributing to standards, conducting code reviews, and sharing knowledge.

• Automate processes and produce maintainable, supportable, and testable code.

• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to enhance services.

• Assist in troubleshooting for end users and customers.

• Contribute to the development of operational procedures for software development.

• Maintain controls and documentation to ensure audit compliance.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or a comparable combination of education and work experience.

• Over six years of engineering or IT work experience pertinent to the role.

• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Lead with proficiency in DevOps practices and toolsets.

• Proven expertise as a Technical Lead with skills in React, Angular, and Node.js.

• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and .Net development frameworks.

• Understanding of RESTful networking.

• Prior experience with Git and GitHub.

• Comprehension of software development methodologies.

• Awareness of security best practices.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent collaboration skills.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
