Lead Developer – Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical authority for the team, aiding developers in crafting solutions, sharing best practices, and making informed decisions regarding application architecture and development.

• Offer technical guidance for the team's deliverables, supporting backlog refinement, identifying risks and dependencies, and suggesting strategies to guarantee quality and predictability in deliveries.

• Foster the technical advancement of the team through mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharing, contributing to the ongoing development of individuals, processes, and solutions.

• Design, maintain, and enhance backend applications utilizing Node.js, ensuring the quality, performance, and scalability of solutions.

• Create, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations with both internal systems and external services.

• Implement new functionalities, address bugs, and engage in the continuous improvement of existing systems.

• Participate in requirements analysis and establish technical solutions that align with business objectives.

• Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and the adoption of development best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Data, Architecture, DevOps, and Front-end to deliver business value effectively.

• Contribute to the advancement of architecture, development methodologies, and technical documentation across various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.

• Proficiency in backend development with Node.js.

• Strong understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.

• Experience in developing and utilizing REST APIs.

• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in source control using Git.

• Awareness of software architecture, development best practices, and design patterns.

• Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar).

• Capability to analyze and resolve medium to high complexity technical challenges.

• **Differentials**

• Familiarity with TypeScript.

• Understanding of microservices architecture.

• Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools.

• Knowledge of messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar).
