This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the data product roadmap and collaborate with Finance and People & Culture leaders to pinpoint data gaps and prioritize opportunities.
• Create data products that support BI tools, AI-enabled experiences, and business applications.
• Convert business objectives into precise requirements and challenge assumptions proactively.
• Act as a strategic data partner among stakeholders, Analytics, and Data Engineering teams.
• Develop prioritization frameworks and communicate trade-offs effectively.
• Manage the complete product lifecycle from discovery through Alpha, Beta, and GA releases.
• Define semantic contracts, including field definitions, metric logic, and data grain specifications.
• Identify reusable data assets and scalable models suitable for downstream use cases.
• Ensure the accuracy, freshness, and reliability of data products.
• Utilize AI tools for requirements synthesis, SQL validation, catalog generation, and data pattern analysis.
• Establish success metrics to measure adoption and business impact.
• Collect post-launch feedback and continuously enhance products.
• Collaborate with Data and Analytics Engineering on semantic layer design and dbt transformations.
• Optimize ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes.
• Lead Agile delivery cycles by translating roadmap priorities into Initiatives and Epics with defined acceptance criteria.
• Spearhead data catalog initiatives, including discoverability, lineage tracking, and documentation.
• Advocate for data quality, governance, access controls, retention, and responsible data usage.
• Present data narratives and create workshops, documentation, and training materials.
• Foster AI literacy and contribute reusable components, patterns, and best practices.
• Over 6 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years concentrated on data products, analytics platforms, or data infrastructure.
• Proven experience in developing data products within Finance, HR, Legal, operations, or related business domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a comparable field of study.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in greenfield or early-stage data environments.
• Strong grasp of data pipelines, dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and contemporary analytics stacks.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, lineage, quality frameworks, and access controls.
• Proficient in SQL, capable of independently querying and validating data.
• Outstanding stakeholder management skills across senior business and technical audiences.
• Experience in SaaS or product-led growth organizations.
• Familiarity with data catalog platforms like Atlan or Alation.
• Knowledge of AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, Quicksight, Omni, Sigma, SageMaker, Python, Pandas, Seaborn, Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
