Lead Data Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee data conversion initiatives from start to finish, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data.

• Work closely with implementation teams and clients to capture requirements and understand their management of client accounts, portfolio accounting, and performance data necessities.

• Conduct data mapping, transformation, and cleansing to satisfy project requirements.

• Verify, troubleshoot, and resolve discrepancies between source data and data generated by Ridgeline during the conversion process.

• Offer technical support and advice to clients.

• Collaborate with project managers and functional consultants to pinpoint and manage dependencies within the wider onboarding process.

• Team up with the Data Science group to streamline inefficient workflows, enhance system automation, and boost accuracy.

• Implement Ridgeline’s value proposition and established implementation methodology to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Provide precise and prompt verbal and written feedback regarding data migration activities.

• Participate in Customer Success initiatives aimed at enhancing the onboarding experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

• Over 5 years of experience in the investment management sector.

• Strong understanding of various financial instrument types, the asset management industry, and data-related workflows including reconciliation, data flows, and end-user reporting.

• Extensive knowledge of portfolio accounting systems and performance measurement techniques, covering financial transaction types and asset classes like equities, fixed income, and FX.

• Excellent communication and client-facing abilities, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

• Significant experience with SQL, data integration ETL tools, and MS Excel.

• Proven experience in managing intricate data projects from planning through to execution.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in team environments, juggling multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Must possess work authorization in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.

• Project management expertise and/or experience in leading successful implementations of enterprise SaaS solutions.

• Familiarity with Agile principles and software development lifecycles.

• Experience mentoring clients regarding tech stacks, tools, and processes.

• Proficient in using Slack, JIRA/Confluence, and professional services applications such as Kantata.

• Basic knowledge of AWS, APIs, and serverless technology.

• Chartered Financial Analyst designation is a plus.
