This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Assess and process credit proposals and applications for Mashreq Bank’s retail lending and Islamic products for either approval or escalation within the designated turnaround time (TAT).
• Facilitate the seamless execution of front-end automation in the credit process across various lending products.
• Adhere to Credit Policy and Product parameters while regulating approvals.
• Ensure the consistent application of credit policies, deliver high-quality underwriting decisions, and maintain proper collateral documentation.
• Conduct supervisory credit reviews for mortgage products in alignment with standard operating procedures and Product Program Guidelines.
• Provide dependable backup support in the absence of the Team Leader or Assistant Manager.
• Assist in the development and training of new team members.
• Analyze eligibility, bank statements, historical data, Flexcube, Prime, and other relevant systems through RCMS.
• Assess and recommend enhancements to team productivity.
• Engage in projects aimed at boosting unit productivity and refining retail lending products and credit policies.
• Participate in training, process enhancement initiatives, and system modifications.
• Identify exceptions related to eligibility, pricing, CPV, system information capture, and collateral compliance.
• Report deficiencies and policy breaches to the Team Leader or Assistant Manager.
• Classify cases as Declined, Rejected, or for Deviation Approval when checks do not pass.
• Achieve daily productivity targets and adhere to agreed turnaround times.
• Implement first-line controls to ensure the booking of quality applications and flag document discrepancies to the Fraud Prevention Unit.
• Take part in quality-unit training and assessments.
• Detect anomalies and propose modifications to Credit Policy, Product Manual, operational procedures, and risk controls.
• Bachelor’s degree with more than 3 years of experience in a Credit Management environment.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office tools for reporting purposes.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work autonomously.
