This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Define and uphold high-quality measurement practices across the Claims department.
• Act as a strategic leader and subject matter expert for both business and analytics teams.
• Provide short-term consulting services to adjust measurement for specific projects.
• Serve as a committed resource within business and product teams for long-term initiatives.
• Educate Claims leaders and staff on the principles of measurement science.
• Simplify complex analytical concepts into straightforward business recommendations.
• Present findings, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership effectively.
• Foster partnerships across Claims, Analytics, Technology, and Finance.
• Lead intricate measurement engagements that involve multiple stakeholders.
• Define business objectives, success metrics, assumptions, and measurement strategies.
• Ensure analyses are precise, defensible, and aligned with business goals.
• Identify measurement risks and opportunities that could impact decision-making quality.
• Advocate for consistent measurement standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Design and implement experiments, quasi-experiments, and observational studies.
• Utilize statistical and causal inference methods to assess business initiatives.
• Establish baselines, control groups, and success criteria for accurate attribution.
• Over 5 years of experience in analytics, data science, measurement science, economics, statistics, or related fields.
• Proven experience in designing experiments, conducting causal inference analyses, or performing program evaluations.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience in influencing decisions through analytics and business consulting.
• Experience in matrixed organizations and collaborating with senior business stakeholders.
• Claims experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong expertise in statistical analysis, experimentation, and causal inference.
• Proficient with advanced analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to link analytics to business outcomes.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Background investigation is required.
