Lead Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assess and analyze proposed cloud architectures and solutions in accordance with Enterprise Security Standards.

• Perform security evaluations on both new and existing cloud services or products.

• Ensure compliance with frameworks such as NIST and CIS Foundations through tracking and maintenance.

• Research, develop, and implement intricate Enterprise Security Standards.

• Identify and drive quantifiable enhancements in the cloud security landscape.

• Provide guidance or mentorship to team members and internal/external stakeholders.

• Contribute to the cloud security roadmap while delivering project-specific security requirements and solutions.

• Design and develop sophisticated cloud security architectures and proof-of-concept models.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deploy security solutions and architectures.

• Assist in incident response by providing architectural context, conducting root-cause analysis, and offering remediation guidance.

• Convey technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and leadership.

• Define and report on key security metrics and the overall compliance posture.

• Monitor emerging trends and incorporate relevant developments into current and future solutions.

• Support change management along with departmental and enterprise initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

• 5–7+ years of IT experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure, closely aligned with the responsibilities of the role.

• 5–7+ years of experience in automating Compliance and Security within cloud environments.
