This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the client and partnership operations at Sureel, reporting directly to the two Co-Presidents.
• Manage senior rights-holder relationships from the commercial transition through pilot phases, onboarding, adoption, and expansion.
• Collaborate with Business Development & Licensing whenever new agreements or commercial terms are necessary.
• Incorporate the rights-holder perspective into Sureel's operations and work alongside partners, Product, Engineering, AI, and leadership.
• Comprehend rights-holder workflows, identify gaps, understand adoption drivers, and recognize platform value.
• Influence partner engagement, product development, and company direction based on insights from rights-holders.
• Spot opportunities for industry collaboration, shared frameworks, and enhanced market adoption.
• Cultivate essential rights-holder relationships while establishing trust with senior executives.
• Guide partners through pilot projects and implementations, which include testing, data assessments, product feedback, onboarding, and decision-making.
• Interpret attribution and payout models for partners.
• Recognize trends in partner discussions and provide insights for product, commercial strategy, or industry trends.
• Create strategies, processes, and tools for expanding the partner network.
• Ensure that partner-facing attribution data and reports are precise, reliable, and consistent.
• Discover new use cases, enhance catalog participation, and increase platform adoption.
• Represent Sureel in high-level partner meetings and industry forums, including interactions with Warner Music Group counterparts.
• Prepare context and background information for significant partner discussions.
• Contribute to the development of the client function's resources, processes, and capabilities as Sureel continues to grow.
• Extensive experience in music rights, metadata, and/or collective management.
• Knowledge of splits, share structures, composition rights, recording rights, and the payment processes of CMOs and publishers for their members.
• Proven track record of building and managing senior relationships with rights-holders, clients, partners, or industry stakeholders.
• Capability to transform client insights into actionable information for product, business, and commercial decisions.
• Proficiency in handling data and technical details; ability to analyze datasets, question numerical data, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical partners.
• Skill in quickly building trust, representing leadership, making informed judgment calls, and escalating issues when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to differentiate between individual client requests and wider market signals.
• Passion for the music industry and a preference for working within a small, collaborative, startup-like team.
• Experience collaborating with artists, labels, publishers, CMOs/PROs, music-tech firms, metadata companies, or serving as a senior consultant to them.
• Background in client/QA, business operations, client relations, or strategic partnerships.
• Participation in industry initiatives related to metadata or rights standards.
• Experience working directly with C-level executives on client strategy and translating senior-level conversations into actionable steps.
• Curiosity about the music and entertainment industry and the effects of AI on creators.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRM and calendar tools, and expense management systems like Concur.
