This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Manage Sureel's critical relationships with rights-holders and foster trust with senior executives.
• Guide partners through pilot programs and implementations, overseeing testing, data evaluations, product feedback, onboarding, and decision-making processes.
• Gain insights into how rights-holders utilize Sureel, identifying value points and areas of friction.
• Incorporate partner requirements into product development for the Product, Engineering, and AI teams.
• Clarify Sureel's attribution and payout frameworks for partners.
• Detect trends in partner discussions to influence product development, commercial strategy, or industry direction.
• Develop scalable methods, processes, and tools for engaging with rights-holders.
• Ensure the quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability of partner-facing attribution data and reporting.
• Discover opportunities to strengthen relationships through new use cases, expanded catalog involvement, and enhanced platform adoption.
• Represent Sureel in high-level partner meetings and industry forums, including engagements with Warner Music Group counterparts.
• Prepare relevant context and background for significant partner discussions.
• Collaborate with leadership on client strategy and prioritization across the partner network.
• Contribute to the development of the client function as Sureel expands, including additional resources, processes, and capabilities.
• Extensive experience in music rights, metadata, and/or collective management.
• Knowledge of splits, share distributions, composition rights, recording rights, and the payment structures of CMOs and publishers.
• Proven experience in building and managing senior-level relationships with rights-holders, clients, partners, or industry stakeholders.
• Ability to convert client insights into actionable product, business, and commercial strategies.
• Proficiency with data and technical details, including interpreting datasets, questioning figures, and articulating them clearly to non-technical partners.
• Capacity to represent leadership, make informed judgments, and pinpoint issues needing leadership intervention.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain composure in a dynamic environment.
• Skill in differentiating individual client requests from broader market trends.
• Passion for the music industry and enjoyment of working in a small, collaborative, fast-paced startup setting.
• Experience with artists, labels, publishers, CMOs/PROs, music-tech firms, metadata companies, or in a senior consulting role with them.
• Background in client/QA, business operations, client relations, or strategic partnerships.
• Engagement in industry metadata or rights standards initiatives.
• Experience collaborating directly with C-level executives on client strategy and translating senior-level discussions into actionable plans.
• Curiosity about the music and entertainment landscape and the influence of AI on creators.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRM systems, calendar tools, and expense management systems like Concur.
