This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, assess, and authorize the daily operations of staff, including the reconciliation of payroll, tax, and benefit accounts on a daily or weekly basis.
• Guide, mentor, and conduct performance reviews for designated team members.
• Deliver technical and professional development training to the team.
• Set up weekly tasks that promote team and company success as well as individual growth.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations, investigate financial discrepancies, and assist Corporate Accounting.
• Collaborate with the Product Team and internal stakeholders to test and implement new business initiatives.
• Supervise cash management across the entire client base to mitigate risks and ensure accurate activity recording.
• Propose strategies and action plans to manage cash deficits and surpluses.
• Create policies and procedures that enhance internal controls, boost efficiency, and facilitate scaling.
• Advise and instruct staff on cash collections based on provided reports.
• Ensure adherence to departmental operating procedures and internal controls.
• Promote ongoing process improvements.
• Review and endorse process documentation.
• Assist Client Services with inquiries.
• Support Audit teams by providing timely SOX/SOC and other compliance documentation.
• Review and authorize Client Credits in alignment with company policies.
• High School diploma is mandatory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in payroll services or banking operations.
• Minimum of 3 years in service bureau account reconciliations.
• Experience in managing and mentoring staff is preferred.
• Familiarity with MasterTax Software.
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll service bureaus.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A robust work ethic for both team and individual tasks is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel and Access.
• High degree of integrity.
• Capability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for prolonged periods, typically 7–8 hours a day.
• Ability to operate computer and phone systems while utilizing multiple software programs simultaneously.
