This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design the target-state Atlassian architecture, encompassing instance and tenancy design, project and workflow schemes, permissions, issue security, custom field strategy, and naming conventions for Jira Software Cloud.
• Lead the discovery, assessment, migration phases, sequencing, and cutover decisions for the consolidation of multiple Jira instances.
• Establish configuration standards, architecture review processes, and authoritative change control while maintaining engineering flexibility.
• Determine the use of native Atlassian features, marketplace applications, Forge, Connect, or custom development solutions.
• Architect Atlassian Access, which includes SSO, SCIM provisioning, authentication policies, IP allowlisting, permission architecture, and data residency considerations.
• Separate customer-facing portals from internal operations and design for regulated data and audit compliance.
• Design applications utilizing Rovo, Atlassian Intelligence, and Claude for knowledge management, search grounding, ticket deflection, and administrative automation.
• Mentor architects and administrators located in the US, India, and Mexico.
• Create reference architectures, decision records, and automation libraries.
• Over 8 years of experience in the Atlassian ecosystem.
• More than 3 years in an architectural or platform design role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise Jira Software Cloud environments.
• Experience leading large-scale Cloud-to-Cloud consolidations.
• Skilled in developing configuration standards while balancing control with team autonomy.
• Extensive expertise in Jira Software, along with a working knowledge of Confluence and JSM.
• Familiarity with JSM request types, SLAs, queues, portal design, knowledge structures, and deflection strategies.
• Current practical experience with Rovo, Atlassian Intelligence, Claude, or similar AI tools, with demonstrable projects developed using these technologies.
• Ability in program planning, sequencing, and dependency management.
• Experience in regulated environments that involve access control, audit evidence, and data handling requirements.
• Ideally, experience in sectors such as healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries.
• Experience managing an internal company platform rather than solely delivering client projects.
• ACP-620 or ACP-120 certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Capability to work across multiple time zones.
