Lead Associate, Data Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in facilitating data-driven decision-making for essential missions within Peraton's Risk Decision Group.

• Create, develop, and enhance analytic solutions for mission-critical applications.

• Design, construct, and sustain advanced dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau Desktop and Power BI.

• Formulate advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.

• Design and refine data workflows and ETL processes through Tableau Prep and Python.

• Oversee content, permissions, data sources, and performance tuning on Tableau Server.

• Extract, manipulate, and analyze both structured and unstructured data using intricate SQL queries.

• Collaborate with business partners to identify data requirements and provide actionable insights.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality via validation and testing.

• Support BI governance, documentation, and best practices throughout the analytics environment.

• Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Python or SQL-based solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a T5/SSBI federally adjudicated clearance.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; at least 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD.

• Proficiency in Tableau Prep, Tableau Desktop, and Tableau Server administration.

• Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and workspace management.

• Advanced SQL capabilities with experience in querying large datasets.

• Experience in designing, creating, implementing, and optimizing database indexes.

• Practical experience with database performance tuning, including analyzing query execution plans, identifying performance bottlenecks, optimizing SQL queries, and proposing solutions.

• Working experience with Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation purposes.

• Practical experience in designing, developing, and maintaining an Enterprise Data Warehouse.

• Expertise in business analytics and converting complex data into actionable insights for non-technical users.

• Experience in creating SOPs and comprehensive documentation for workflows and processes.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.

• Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Preferred: experience using R for statistical modeling or advanced analytics.

• Preferred: familiarity with APIs, scripting, or workflow orchestration tools.

• Preferred: experience with Git.

• Preferred: knowledge of data governance, metadata management, or enterprise BI strategy.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud technologies for data storage, compute, or analytics.

• Capability to convert business needs into insightful solutions.

• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
