Lead Asset Protection

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Ensure a safe and secure environment for both customers and associates.

• Assist Store and Field Management in managing aggressive or hostile behavior incidents through de-escalation techniques.

• Carry out external and internal theft and fraud investigations following comprehensive training and certification.

• Utilize AP systems, including Exception-Based Reporting, CCTV, alarms, Over/Short Cash, and Incident Reporting.

• Collaborate with local, municipal, state/provincial, and federal law enforcement and government agencies.

• Observe and report suspicious behaviors of associates to the District Manager and/or RAPM.

• Engage in district and regional visits to enhance collaboration and operational compliance awareness.

• Conduct AP new-hire orientation and training on AP awareness and safety.

• Lead the facility Leadership Team in efforts to maintain a safe and secure work environment.

• Assist RAPM with hiring recommendations, oversight, coaching, and training for the APS team.

• Collaborate with HR and the Leadership Team on issues related to workers' compensation, safety, ethics, workplace violence, and other sensitive matters.

• Achieve expected shrink results by utilizing AP resources.

• Perform monthly Operational Assessments.

• Report audit findings and conduct re-audits of non-compliant controls as necessary.

• Supervise Security personnel when applicable.

• Use Exception-Based Reporting to highlight process and procedural issues.

• Participate in scheduled inventory processes.

• Monitor and address safety or regulatory concerns in assigned stores.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a physical security and safety environment.

• Proven experience in training and coaching.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others.

• Understanding of investigative processes.

• Proficiency in the use of CCTV systems.

• Background in safety practices within retail environments.

• Wicklander & Zulawski certification is advantageous; training will be provided.

• Experience with exception-based reporting is a plus; training will be offered.

• An AA or BA degree is a plus.
