This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design and governance of essential KPIs, metric definitions, and semantic layers.
• Execute intricate analytical tasks utilizing advanced SQL across platforms such as RDS, Oracle, Redshift, and Athena.
• Engage in query performance optimization and implement cost-effective querying strategies.
• Employ Python to generate reproducible analyses, automation scripts, and data validation checks.
• Establish data quality standards and implement automated verification processes along with anomaly detection.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve data quality issues.
• Conduct in-depth analyses, including cohorting, funneling, forecasting, and experiment design.
• Develop and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping documentation in collaboration with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
• Enhance query performance through the use of sort keys, distribution keys, partitioning, predicate pushdown, and awareness of compression techniques.
• Set up version control and peer-review processes for analytical assets.
• Contribute to lightweight Continuous Integration for SQL and testing.
• Work alongside data stakeholders to propel business-critical analytics initiatives.
• Degree holders for the visa application process.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL on RDS, Oracle, and Redshift, with an emphasis on deep query tuning and vacuum/analyze awareness.
• Demonstrated expertise in AWS Athena, including knowledge of partitions, file formats, and cost-control strategies.
• Advanced skills in Business Intelligence development, data storytelling, and best practices for dashboard user experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python for analysis, automation, packaging, and creating reusable analytics functions.
• Solid grounding in statistics for inference and experiment design, with a practical application in business contexts.
• Ability to convert complex business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Experience using Confluence and Jira as collaboration tools.
• Resilience, emotional intelligence, and a mindset geared towards agile delivery.
• Understanding of the differences between coding and engineering.
• Preferred experience with advanced modeling tools and analytics-layer governance.
• Familiarity with AWS Glue Data Catalog, IAM basics, and S3 file formats like Parquet/ORC is preferred.
• Exposure to Kinesis, SNS, SQS, and data freshness Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is preferred.
• Capability to build scalable dashboards and data models in QuickSight or Tableau is preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in oral English.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.
