This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report to the Director, Generation and Electrification Forecasting within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics.
• Gather, sustain, and analyze energy market data at the country and regional levels across core and priority growth markets.
• Observe market dynamics, demand influencers, generation patterns, infrastructure requirements, investment activities, policy changes, regulatory trends, competitive factors, market necessities, and associated risks.
• Assist in frameworks for country prioritization, market attractiveness evaluations, and regional opportunity assessments.
• Recognize emerging opportunities and challenges, translating insights into succinct business recommendations.
• Uphold market assumptions and input data that support regional and country-specific forecasts.
• Aid in the calibration and validation of regional and country outlooks.
• Produce quarterly regional market updates and executive-ready insights for discussions with senior leadership.
• Utilize AI-driven research and analytical tools to enhance data collection, market observation, and insight creation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with regional teams, country councils, strategy partners, commercial teams, and business stakeholders.
• Provide clear, data-informed recommendations that facilitate enterprise decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in energy markets, power markets, market analysis, energy policy, strategy, forecasting, or a similar analytical field.
• Strong grasp of energy and power market fundamentals, market structures, policy influences, and regional market trends.
• Proven analytical and quantitative abilities, including experience with large datasets, market research sources, and intricate business information.
• Capability to convert complex market data into clear, actionable business insights for executive and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to produce quality work and meet deadlines in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15–20% on average.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, power market analysis, or forecasting roles.
• Familiarity with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, or related energy analytical tools.
• Experience using Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization.
• Experience in learning and applying AI-powered tools for research, analysis, and insight generation.
• An advanced degree, such as an MBA, master’s degree, or PhD, in a relevant field is desired.
