This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report to the Director of Generation and Electrification Forecasting within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics.
• Gather, maintain, and analyze energy market data at the country and regional levels across key and priority growth markets.
• Observe market dynamics, demand drivers, generation trends, infrastructure requirements, investment activities, policy changes, regulatory trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Assist in country prioritization frameworks, assessments of market attractiveness, and views on regional opportunities.
• Identify emerging challenges and opportunities in priority regions and convert findings into succinct business recommendations.
• Maintain market assumptions and input data that support forecasts at both regional and country levels.
• Support the calibration and validation of outlooks at the country and regional levels.
• Create quarterly regional market updates and prepare executive-ready insights for discussions with senior leadership.
• Utilize AI-enabled research and analytics tools to enhance data collection, market monitoring, and insight generation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with regional teams, country councils, strategy partners, commercial teams, and business stakeholders.
• Provide clear, data-driven recommendations that aid enterprise decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
• Anticipate travel of approximately 15–20% on average.
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, energy systems, engineering, business, data analytics, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in energy markets, power markets, market analysis, energy policy, strategy, forecasting, or a related analytical discipline.
• Strong comprehension of energy and power market fundamentals, market structures, policy drivers, and regional market dynamics.
• Proven analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with large datasets, market research sources, and complex business information.
• Capability to translate intricate market information into clear and actionable business insights for executive and cross-functional audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to produce high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Expected travel of approximately 15–20% on average.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, market intelligence, power market analysis, or forecasting roles.
• Experience with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, or related energy analytics tools.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar tools for data analysis and visualization.
• Experience utilizing AI-powered tools to expedite research, analysis, and insight generation.
• An advanced degree, such as an MBA, master’s degree, or PhD, in a relevant field is desired.
