This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +4 more states.
• Assist with daily premium operations for Individual Dental, which includes identifying, investigating, and addressing metric discrepancies.
• Evaluate premium billing, collection, revenue capture, and reporting processes and suggest enhancements.
• Aid in assessing requirements and developing procedures or policies for intricate premium operational necessities.
• Ensure compliance with subsidy-payment processing standards.
• Reconcile and process vendor purchase orders and invoices.
• Implement assigned Sarbanes-Oxley controls and maintain documentation for control testing.
• Create and uphold processes for enrollment-data analysis, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly enrollment reconciliations across various systems and partners.
• Investigate transactional errors and enrollment inconsistencies, coordinating resolutions as necessary.
• Generate regular financial and operational reports, including forecasts for premium errors.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
• Analyze enrollment and financial data related to Healthcare Exchange fees, cost-sharing reductions, and premium tax credit payments.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to address discrepancies in financial data.
• Develop and execute billing, enrollment, and financial management processes along with technological solutions.
• Communicate the status of reconciliations, discrepancies, and resolution efforts to partners and leadership.
• Provide support for audits with necessary documentation and analysis.
• Examine trends, control deficiencies, recurring discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Formulate contingency plans and practical solutions for operational challenges.
• Manage competing priorities while driving measurable enhancements in operational performance and data quality.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may be accepted.
• A minimum of three years of experience in business within healthcare operations, financial reconciliation, enrollment management, or a similar area.
• Experience in supporting Individual Dental or Individual and Family Plan operations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with premium billing, enrollment processing, financial reconciliation, discrepancy management, and operational reporting.
• Knowledge of operational controls, audit documentation, and resolution of cross-functional issues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize competing demands, and achieve results.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate effectively with vendors, peers, matrix partners, and leaders.
• Preferred strong influencing and matrix-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Visio is preferred.
• Experience with relational databases, XML, reconciliation tools, and enrollment or billing vendor systems is preferred.
• For remote work, a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum speed of 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is required.
