Lead Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist in month-end and quarter-end closing processes, which involve reconciliations, journal entries, consolidations, eliminations, and allocations.

• Oversee intercompany transactions, manage subsidiary funding requests, and ensure compliance requirements are met across international entities.

• Support audits and financial reporting needs while ensuring documentation is maintained in an audit-ready state.

• Recognize and implement process enhancements and automation opportunities that improve controls and minimize manual tasks.

• Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and other departments to address accounting challenges and enhance financial processes.

• Assist with treasury operations, audit inquiries, and various ad hoc analysis requests.

• Independently handle a diverse range of tasks and resolve intricate accounting issues.

• Report directly to the Director of Accounting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a rapidly growing technology, SaaS, or multinational company.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A professional accounting certification such as CA, CPA, or its equivalent is preferred.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial closing processes, intercompany accounting, and statutory compliance.

• Proven experience managing complex reconciliations, audit requests, and accounting documentation across various entities.

• Proficient in Excel with the capability to analyze substantial amounts of financial data.

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities, with a knack for building consensus among teams.

• Must possess authorization to receive and access commodities and technologies regulated under U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
