Language Arts Teacher – Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Instruct online English Language Arts classes with an emphasis on Reading & Speaking as well as Reading & Writing skills.

• Develop and present well-organized lessons utilizing Think Academy's educational resources.

• Actively engage with and oversee a virtual classroom consisting of up to approximately 10 students.

• Assess student assignments, offer prompt feedback, and monitor student progress consistently.

• Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding educational objectives and performance.

• Engage in ongoing teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional development opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native-level English speaker with a strong command of American English.

• Preferred experience teaching ELA in U.S. public, private, or charter schools, particularly for grades 1 through 4.

• A Bachelor's degree in any field is required; degrees in Education, ELA, or English are favored.

• Possess a solid understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing assistance.

• Comfortable using online teaching tools and managing a virtual classroom environment.

• A commitment to at least one full semester (Spring/Summer/Fall) is preferred.
