Language Arts Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Instruct online English Language Arts classes with an emphasis on Reading & Speaking and Reading & Writing skills.

• Develop and present well-organized lessons utilizing Think Academy's curriculum materials.

• Actively engage and oversee a virtual classroom with approximately 10 students.

• Assess student assignments, deliver prompt feedback, and monitor student progress.

• Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding educational objectives and performance.

• Take part in regular teacher training sessions, curriculum discussions, and ongoing professional development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a native English speaker with a strong command of American English.

• Preferably possess teaching experience in U.S. public, private, or charter schools, especially focused on ELA for grades 1 to 4.

• A Bachelor's degree in any field is required, with a preference for degrees in Education, ELA, or English.

• Have a solid grasp of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing assistance.

• Comfortable using online teaching tools and managing a virtual classroom environment.

• A commitment to at least one full semester (Spring/Summer/Fall) is preferred.
