Language Arts Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Instruct online ELA classes with an emphasis on Reading & Speaking as well as Reading & Writing abilities.

• Create and deliver well-organized lessons utilizing Think Academy's educational resources.

• Actively engage and oversee a virtual classroom of approximately 10 students.

• Evaluate student assignments, deliver prompt feedback, and monitor student progress.

• Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding academic objectives and performance.

• Participate in ongoing teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional growth opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level English speaker with a strong command of American English.

• Preferred experience teaching ELA in U.S. public, private, or charter schools, ideally focusing on 1st–4th grades.

• A Bachelor's degree in any field is required; Education, ELA, or English majors are preferred.

• Solid understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing support.

• Comfortable using online teaching technologies and managing a virtual classroom.

• A commitment to at least one full semester is preferred.
