Language Arts Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Instruct online ELA classes with an emphasis on Reading & Speaking as well as Reading & Writing skills.

• Design and deliver well-organized lessons utilizing Think Academy's curriculum materials.

• Actively engage and oversee a virtual classroom of up to around 10 students.

• Evaluate student assignments, offer prompt feedback, and monitor student progress.

• Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding educational objectives and performance.

• Take part in ongoing teacher training, curriculum discussions, and professional growth opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level English speaker with a strong command of American English.

• Preferred experience in U.S. public/private/charter school ELA teaching (focus on 1st–4th grade is ideal).

• A Bachelor's degree in any field is required; majors in Education/ELA/English are preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of elementary reading instruction, literacy development, and writing support.

• Proficient with online teaching technologies and virtual classroom management.

• Commitment to at least one full semester (Spring/Summer/Fall) is preferred.
