This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and direct land and title initiatives from the initial scoping phase to project completion across various basins and jurisdictions.
• Act as the main contact point for clients, ensuring consistent, clear, and proactive communication throughout the duration of each project.
• Develop and manage project timelines, staffing strategies, and budgets, making quick adjustments as project scope or client requirements change.
• Recruit, assign, and supervise teams of landmen and abstractors, guaranteeing that tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Conduct reviews and quality control checks on title work products, such as runsheets, curative documents, and ownership reports, ensuring compliance with Paramount and client standards.
• Analyze and address intricate leasehold title challenges, including gaps in the chain of title, HBP determinations, and multi-party ownership queries.
• Collaborate with landmen, attorneys, and clients to expedite the resolution of curative items.
• Monitor project advancement and deliver regular status reports and outputs to clients in a professional and organized manner.
• Detect risks and title challenges early and propose practical solutions before they escalate into project delays.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of basin-specific regulations, recording practices, and county-level nuances across various project areas.
• At least 5+ years of experience as a landman, showcasing project management or team leadership capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of all major oil and gas basins, including regional variations in title, recording, and regulatory practices.
• Extensive experience with leasehold title, encompassing title examination, curative efforts, and chain of title assessments.
• Proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects and teams while adhering to tight deadlines.
• Outstanding communication abilities, with a history of keeping clients informed and confident throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of oil, gas, and mineral law as it pertains to leasehold and title issues.
• Experience in managing or mentoring contract landmen and reviewing their work for precision and accuracy.
• Proficient in title research tools, mapping software, and standard land management platforms.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Mileage and travel reimbursement according to company policy.
