This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.
• Provide support to the Land Business Development Sub-Department by overseeing Well Elections, Well Project Proposals, integrating Contract Exhibits, and offering both administrative and technical assistance.
• Evaluate contract obligations and suggest actions for new agreements.
• Aid in closing and post-closing procedures.
• Facilitate internal approvals and manage contract processing.
• Analyze data to verify ownership status.
• Examine operated and non-operated projects and proposals to ensure compliance with contracts, proposals, and election processes.
• Draft contract exhibits and perform preliminary due diligence on leases involved in trades and Joint Operating Agreements.
• Assist in opportunity creation by compiling available title information for Land Business Development.
• Ensure data integrity is maintained.
• Analyze data to aid Land Business Development Agents during transactions.
• Code departmental invoices and associated expenses.
• Collaborate with Land Business Development and Owner Relations teams to address third-party requests or disputes.
• Offer technical and administrative support to Land Business Development.
• Ensure accurate reporting and data management across land operations.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-4+ years of experience in land administration, land analysis, or oil & gas operations.
• Familiarity with land systems, GIS/mapping tools, and regulatory databases.
• Understanding of oil & gas leases, title concepts, and HBP.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on data accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role or with similar responsibilities is preferred.
• Membership in AAPL or a similar organization is preferred.
• Proficiency in Quorum is preferred.
• Proficiency in Salesforce is preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Appalachian region.
• Remote work is not available in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, and Tennessee unless the candidate is willing to relocate.
