Land Agent – Land Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +11 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture relationships with landowners to secure long-term agreements for renewable project development.

• Assist in acquiring executed land leases, land purchases, transmission line easements, access road easements, title curative documents, and crossing agreements.

• Execute regional land acquisition initiatives, identify landowners, conduct outreach and meetings, communicate the company's value proposition, and negotiate contracts.

• Provide data for weekly project updates and submit weekly status reports.

• Organize stakeholder meetings and presentations while maintaining relationships throughout the land acquisition and development process.

• Adhere to corporate land acquisition policies.

• Support Community Relations and regional staff with landowner communications, newsletters, phone calls, letters, and project update meetings.

• Forecast and report on land acquisition budgets for assigned projects.

• Perform additional tasks as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• RL, RPL, or CPL certification from the American Association of Professional Landmen is preferred.

• Local Notary license is preferred, or the ability to obtain one.

• A minimum of 2 years of land acquisition experience is required.

• Demonstrated experience in sales, account acquisition, and account management.

• Outstanding organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with strong public speaking skills.

• Experience in contract drafting is required.

• Working knowledge of land, legal, and negotiation principles.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel 75% or more of work time.
