LabWare Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical execution, customization, and improvement of LabWare Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).

• Partner with client subject matter experts, business analysts, and project managers to convert laboratory needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Implement LabWare LIMS modules such as ELN, Charge Manager, Enhanced Visual Workflows, and Plate Manager.

• Construct, code, unit test, and deploy functional solutions for LabWare LIMS adhering to SDLC and established programming standards.

• Configure and assist with instrument interfaces in LabWare LIMS for automated and dependable data capture.

• Create prototypes for business assessment.

• Provide custom analysis and reporting functionalities in collaboration with cross-functional client teams.

• Identify root causes of process failures and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Enhance existing LIMS configurations and implement process enhancements.

• Engage in technical reviews and project meetings.

• Effectively manage competing priorities autonomously in a remote working environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical technical experience with LabWare LIMS (versions 7 and 8).

• In-depth knowledge of LabWare Industry Template Solutions, including Pharma Template and Public Health.

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) or Information Systems, or equivalent relevant industry experience.

• Demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.

• Familiarity with instrument interfacing.

• Experience with ELN integrations; knowledge of ELN v3 is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High self-motivation for independent/remote work.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel occasionally.
