📋 Description

• Lead the collaborative design and implementation of the UK/Ireland Lab.

• Tailor the program to fit the UK and Irish contexts while ensuring alignment with Commonland's overarching strategy.

• Create inclusive, multi-stakeholder learning processes utilizing systems thinking, design methodologies, and transformative facilitation techniques.

• Assist landscape partners in recognizing and tackling the underlying causes of environmental and social issues, including structural barriers and power dynamics.

• Enhance connections among participating landscape initiatives to foster a learning community and action-oriented partnership.

• Work collaboratively with and support facilitators and hosts to provide meaningful learning experiences.

• Contribute to Commonland's global learning infrastructure by sharing insights across various regions.

• Engage in the global Lab Designers community of practice and participate in the organization-wide Commonland global team retreat.

• Aid in the development of global tools and guides, including the learning infrastructure, the Landscape Governance Canvas, and the Landscape System Mapping Toolkit.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in participatory process design, facilitation, and collaboration with diverse stakeholder groups.

• Ability to lead and mentor a program design and hosting team.

• Strong understanding of the landscape restoration, environmental, or grassroots context in the UK and/or Ireland.

• Direct professional experience in this field and region is highly advantageous.

• Must be based in the UK or Ireland.

• Legally authorized to work in the UK or Ireland.

• Willingness to travel regularly within the region.

• Proficiency in English.

• Possess a strategic mindset.

• Excellent multimodal communication skills.

• Capable of managing ambiguity effectively.

• Strong skills in collaborative partnership-building.

• Proficient in network-building.

• Competent in project management, including initiating, planning, executing, and monitoring initiatives while balancing scope, resources, timelines, and risks.
