This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.
• Promote suppliers and products from the VWR Furniture portfolio.
• Market the VWR Lab Design and Furniture product range within the territory of Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey, and upstate New York.
• Assist clients in designing laboratory spaces and selecting products across various sectors including education, medical research, industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, production, and healthcare.
• Identify potential leads.
• Close sales for both transactional furniture opportunities and comprehensive lab renovation and expansion projects.
• Provide training to VWR general representatives on the furniture program and inspire them to sell targeted product categories.
• Liaise with sales representatives, customers, suppliers, estimators, designers, project coordinators, and installers.
• Oversee the furniture portfolio within the local area and convey sales objectives, trends, and performance metrics.
• Ensure that the VWR Furniture Program remains top-tier.
• Take ownership of the territory alongside general sales representatives and management by participating in regional meetings, strategy sessions, key account blitzes, and on-site technical seminars.
• Execute other responsibilities as assigned.
• A BS degree in construction science or a related scientific field is preferred, or equivalent work experience is acceptable.
• 3–5 years of sales experience is preferred.
• Experience in construction sales is a plus.
• Familiarity with Divisions 10, 11, and 12 is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Capability to prepare material take-offs and estimate costs.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organizational, time-management, and computer skills are required.
• Self-motivated individual capable of implementing programs, identifying opportunities, sharing ideas, and taking initiative with minimal direction in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
• Willingness to travel overnight.
• Availability to visit customer locations at least 3 days each week.
