This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Achieve and surpass the forecast set for the designated geographic territory.
• Proactively seek out new sales opportunities.
• Build robust business relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with channel partners to train them and assist in developing and closing sales opportunities.
• Identify new business prospects for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s other divisions and coordinate with the relevant sales personnel.
• Advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific’s extensive product range during sales calls.
• Actively participate as a team member in assigned corporate and focus account initiatives.
• Deliver laboratory consumables solutions to biotech firms, pharmaceutical companies, and academic institutions within the San Diego area.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of proven success in laboratory sales, with experience in both industry and/or academia.
• Previous experience in selling through various channel partners, including direct sales and marketing, is desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of the markets and various laboratory product applications.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment and influence others to achieve desired outcomes.
• Proficient in learning and utilizing online CRM applications, with a preference for Salesforce.com.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive communication abilities.
• Proven track record of negotiating and closing business deals.
• Professional presentation skills.
• Exceptional follow-up and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time in the field.
