This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Receive, log, or prepare samples for analysis in accordance with SGS analytical standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Employ basic department-specific instruments and analytical techniques.
• Conduct routine operations, maintenance, and calibration of preparation instruments and equipment.
• Assist with validation and Method Detection Limit (MDL) studies as necessary.
• Input and sustain technical information that supports laboratory operations.
• Maintain the Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Comply with internal standards, policies, procedures, and safe laboratory practices.
• Achieve daily production targets while ensuring hold times and turnaround times are met.
• Undertake additional duties as required.
• High school diploma.
• 0-2 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry Laboratories.
• Proficient in advanced English language skills.
• Basic mathematical and reasoning abilities.
• Fundamental computer skills.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights of up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be willing to work in a 90-day temporary seasonal position.
• Immediate eligibility to take part in the Company’s 401K Retirement Plan.
• Accrual of sick time.
• Eligibility for overtime.
