This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise interpretations.

• Uphold established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language, Kunama.

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation firm.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
