Korean Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Facilitate communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice.

• Engage in internal professional training sessions.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Korean".

• Over 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a bonus (PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.

• Minimum requirements for computer systems and internet connectivity.
