
Key Accounts Manager – Aerospace and Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +17 more states.
• Take charge of customer relationships within the designated aerospace and defense sector.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships within the assigned territory, sub-vertical, and/or customer base.
• Leverage TTI products and services to optimize sales, gross profit, and return on investment/assets.
• Formulate and implement regional or corporate strategies in collaboration with sales branches to establish TTI as the preferred supplier.
• Identify opportunities for account growth and expansion among Tier 1 accounts.
• Organize customer and market segment reviews with clients and TTI management.
• Develop formal sales and marketing presentations utilizing technical resources and corporate information.
• Assist the Vice President of Aerospace and Defense and/or Global Account Manager with annual budgeting and expense forecasts.
• Build rapport with key decision-makers and gather competitive insights.
• Monitor competitor activities and devise response strategies.
• Explore opportunities related to new designs, product development, and supply chain solutions.
• Collaborate with data management, operations, engineering, marketing, and product management teams.
• Analyze sales and inventory liability outcomes and recommend adjustments to foster growth and profitability.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, defense programs, and emerging electronics technologies.
• Support dedicated field operations through teamwork and coordination.
• Host customer visits and tours of corporate facilities.
• Address customer inquiries and proactively resolve any concerns.
• Identify account trends and issues, pursuing swift resolutions.
• Maintain market awareness through industry publications, networking, training events, and trade shows.
• Engage in TTI’s Total Quality Program and identify potential process enhancements.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a relevant field with at least three to five years of experience in electronics distribution or a related area.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of company product lines, sales, purchasing, operations, and systems, or the ability to acquire that knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to respond tactfully and effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
• Proficient in writing and presenting information to both internal and external audiences.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel.
• A valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to be insured by the company’s liability carrier.
• Must be local to the position or willing to relocate at personal expense.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR: U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee.
