Key Account Manager – Retail

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Accountable for managing the Edeka key account in the southern and southwestern regions of Germany.

• Strategically enhancing the partnership through all pertinent sales channels and levels.

• Overseeing the sales, profitability, and volume for Krombacher and Schweppes.

• Leading the regional annual business reviews and negotiations.

• Executing central agreements within the regions.

• Responsible for listings, assortment strategies, and promotional initiatives.

• Managing customer budgets effectively.

• Analyzing sell-out figures and performance KPIs.

• Initiating appropriate actions when performance diverges from targets.

• Developing and executing customer-specific concepts in collaboration with the field sales team.

• Reporting directly to the National Key Account Management team.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in business administration or commercial training, complemented by an additional qualification (e.g., state-certified business economist or certified specialist in retail management).

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the German food retail sector, preferably within the beverage or consumer goods industries.

• Experience in managing key accounts is a plus.

• Strong negotiation abilities.

• Proven track record of closing deals successfully.

• Customer-focused approach with a partnership-oriented mindset.

• Strong analytical skills in understanding KPIs and customer profitability.

• Willingness to travel.

• Proficient in MS Office, CRM systems, and digital sales tools.
