This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Drive profitable expansion within Hexcel’s Industrial sector across the Americas, concentrating significantly on the U.S. market.
• Oversee strategic Automotive accounts and manage the Industrial Distribution network.
• Assist in exploring growth prospects within emerging New Space and Defense markets, including small satellites and unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
• Establish and sustain relationships with key Industrial clients, Automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and the Distribution network.
• Identify and cultivate growth opportunities within both existing and potential accounts.
• Manage customer accounts through detailed account and engagement plans, opportunity management, contract negotiations, customer satisfaction, receivables, forecasting, and issue escalation.
• Meet annual sales goals and negotiate long-term supply agreements.
• Act as the customer's voice and collaborate with cross-functional teams on account strategies and commitments.
• Coordinate commercial and technical proposals in collaboration with Product Management, Technical Support, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D.
• Partner with Technical Engineering Support and R&T teams to create products and solutions for demanding customer applications.
• Lead customer and sales initiatives involving internal stakeholders, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and partners across various geographic areas.
• Provide internal reporting and customize communications for virtual, written, and in-person interactions.
• Foster internal and external relationships to uncover opportunities and contribute to long-term business growth.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• Over 5 years of experience in field sales, key account management, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
• Proven experience in direct customer selling and relationship management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain strategic customer relationships.
• Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-driven, hands-on, and collaborative approach with a focus on results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with MRP/ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary residents under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, refugees, or asylees.
• Experience in sales or account management within the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Advanced Materials, Composites, or other engineered-product industries.
• Familiarity with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and/or distribution channels.
• Knowledge of composite materials and their manufacturing processes.
• Experience in negotiating long-term supply agreements and managing complex technical or commercial accounts.
• Conversational proficiency in an additional language, especially Spanish, German, or Japanese.
• Demonstrated interest in professional development and an eagerness to take on additional responsibilities.
• Approximately 25% travel is expected.
