
Key Account Manager β Grocery & Convenience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Lead presentations at the head office for major grocery and convenience accounts located in Ontario.
β’ Assist with the launch of new products and retailers, including assessments and recommendations for POG/MOD.
β’ Enhance ACV across grocery and convenience accounts while expanding the SKU assortment.
β’ Oversee daily administrative responsibilities for distributors and accounts.
β’ Organize and manage category data and relevant information.
β’ Develop sales presentations and supporting documentation.
β’ Visit the head offices of key retailers to engage with Senior Category Managers, evaluate performance, and provide guidance on modifications and opportunities.
β’ Utilize market data and category insights to craft presentations aimed at maximizing market share and shelf presence.
β’ Cultivate extensive category knowledge to become a trusted resource for retailers.
β’ Identify white space opportunities through the use of category data, insights, and analysis.
β’ Manage and evaluate retailer dashboards to analyze product velocities and pinpoint opportunities.
β’ Oversee trade spending and financial management for accounts.
β’ Identify and create off-shelf opportunities to enhance consumer engagement and drive incremental growth.
β’ 3β5 years of experience in category management within CPG, specifically supporting significant national key accounts in the Canadian grocery and convenience sectors.
β’ In-depth knowledge of the Canadian grocery and convenience landscape.
β’ Experience collaborating with accounts such as Parkland, Circle K, Petro-Canada/Suncor, Rexall, or comparable retailers.
β’ Familiarity with category assessment, POG/MOD planning and execution, assortment management, and recognizing opportunities within key grocery and convenience accounts.
β’ Proficient in Nielsen, SPINS, IRI, retail POG software, along with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
β’ Understanding of financial principles, including account P&L management, forecasting, demand planning, inventory oversight, trade spending, and seasonality.
β’ Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
β’ Capability to manage multiple priorities while keeping senior leadership informed of significant business updates.
β’ An entrepreneurial and self-sufficient mindset.
β’ Ability to collaborate across functions, influence without direct authority, and work with minimal supervision in a dynamic, growing environment.
β’ Strong customer service orientation with prompt communication across customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
β’ Bilingual in French and English is preferred but not mandatory.
β’ Candidates based in Ontario are preferred.
