This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +16 more states.
• Develop, implement, and oversee strategies and relationships with assigned accounts related to data centers for ABB Electrification’s Industry, Building, and Channel organization.
• Act as the primary contact for ABB IBC relationships within the designated accounts.
• Increase share of wallet and profitability while enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Facilitate executive relationships within accounts.
• Establish goals and monitor pipeline progress.
• Organize sales activities effectively.
• Keep track of ongoing projects.
• Manage the resolution of strategic customer issues.
• Create and implement account plans and Statements of Work to foster growth across various divisions and locations.
• Comprehend business drivers and risks, including sustainability, digitalization, and cybersecurity, to formulate tailored sales strategies and objectives.
• Engage decision-makers in data centers and provide comprehensive ABB solutions aligned with customer requirements and profitability targets.
• Keep an eye on market trends and competitor activities.
• Utilize standardized sales tools like Salesforce.
• Ensure coordinated sales planning and address issues promptly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience, or an Associate’s degree with at least 12 years of industry experience.
• Experience with data center customers is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Electrification products.
• Capability to perform market analysis and devise business plans with a structured and strategic approach.
• Experience in building relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, and channel partners.
• Technical background, preferably within the data center market.
• Excellent communication skills and a flexible, collaborative leadership style.
• Solid technical knowledge of 3-phase AC power systems, including medium and low voltage switchgear, motor control centers, switchboards, panelboards, and ancillary electrical distribution products.
• Experience in quoting projects for contractors.
• Strong technical understanding and field sales experience in selling power monitoring and control software, associated metering and communication systems, direct current, and battery energy storage/microgrid solutions.
• Must possess work authorization allowing employment with ABB in the US.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
