This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Provide sales assistance to current customers in the industrial coatings sector.
• Conduct sales calls to owners, buyers, finishing supervisors, and engineers.
• Foster new accounts by enhancing relationships with key decision-makers.
• Cultivate relationships with existing accounts.
• Identify and develop new accounts while building rapport with key decision-makers.
• Gain familiarity with Hempel products, specifically focusing on epoxy/urethane technology.
• Navigate orders and essential processes through Hempel’s system.
• Participate in trade shows to generate leads and enhance brand image.
• Utilize Hempel websites as effective selling tools.
• Coordinate trade show initiatives in collaboration with the Marketing team.
• Prepare price quotations and monthly sales activity reports.
• Report expenses on a weekly basis.
• Develop marketing tools to support sales calls and programs.
• Collaborate with R&D to enhance understanding of product chemistry and expand product knowledge.
• Work alongside Customer Service to place and monitor orders.
• Leverage CRM systems to manage account activities.
• Optimize sales and profitability through effective time management with customers and prospects.
• Oversee expenses and customer entertainment.
• Recommend products suited for specific applications.
• Focus on the growth of new accounts.
• Manage inventory based on customer demands.
• Analyze and follow up on potential leads.
• Handle the customer complaint process effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in paint or coatings application.
• Proficient presentation skills.
• Strong selling and relationship-building abilities.
• Negotiation skills are essential.
• Good command of Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional writing capabilities.
• Outstanding oral presentation skills.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Willingness to travel overnight (33-50%).
