This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Drive profitable revenue growth through commercial management and sales of Avient Specialty Engineered Material rigid, medical Urethanes and Thermoplastic Elastomer solutions
• Safeguard and service both new and existing business in the US, Singapore, and Australia
• Identify new business opportunities within current and potential accounts
• Service and expand existing accounts using Avient’s Customer Centric Sales process and methodologies
• Engage healthcare accounts and promote specification at the OEM level to seize new opportunities
• Protect current business and deliver commercial excellence to clients
• Forecast annual sales, margin, and volume growth objectives
• Sell at all management levels and cultivate strategic customer relationships
• Establish, track, and achieve new business targets
• Develop account development plans, contact matrices, sales plans, sales budgets, and expense budgets
• Contribute to both long-term and short-term business planning, sales forecasts, and volume goals
• Recommend suitable product grades, custom-compounded products, and competitive pricing
• Collaborate with other Avient business segments to present a cohesive “One Avient” identity
• Negotiate customer contracts and value packages
• Create and maintain CRM data and sales statistics
• Manage strategic relationships, build alliances, and keep an eye on competitive activities
• Analyze customer requirements and propose Avient product solutions
• Keep the Sales Manager updated with regular activity reports and communications
• Implement growth strategies established by the Sales Manager and Market Manager
• Work with Technical and Customer Service teams to fulfill customer requirements and ensure satisfaction
• Travel up to 60%
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Plastics or Polymer Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or a related field
• 5+ years of sales experience in account management/sales within a manufacturing setting
• Prior experience in Healthcare is essential for this role
• Strong complex thinking skills to translate customer needs into effective solutions
• Technical aptitude
• Professional demeanor, including exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of solutions, materials, and processing
• Self-motivated individual
• Team-oriented
• Strong organizational skills are necessary
• Minimal training and oversight needed
• Operates independently on a daily basis
• Proficient computer skills, with expertise in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Position is based in a home office environment
• Valid US driver’s license
• Role requires up to 60% domestic travel
• Valid US Passport
• Willingness to travel internationally and accommodate evening and early morning meetings with customers in Asia, Australia, and the Pacific Rim
