
Key Account Manager – Advanced Lung Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans for large academic centers, integrated delivery networks, and specialty clinics to enhance Tyvaso adoption and growth.
• Act as the primary strategic liaison for assigned accounts and health systems.
• Provide education to healthcare professionals and promote awareness of PH-ILD and IPF.
• Establish and nurture relationships with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and specialty distributor personnel.
• Collaborate with regional teams to create engagement strategies at centers of excellence, teaching hospitals, and fellowship programs.
• Coordinate opportunities across affiliated hospitals, academic institutions, pharmacies, and health system networks.
• Identify and map stakeholders across complex institutions and carry out account plans.
• Analyze sales data and formulate business plans to enhance disease awareness and product adoption.
• Work together with field-based team members on product and disease education, usage, and access goals.
• Provide quarterly business plans, reviews, and regular stakeholder updates.
• Leverage resources to drive sales with key clients.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of disease states, products, and the competitive landscape.
• Utilize sales force automation tools for territory effectiveness and record-keeping.
• Fulfill administrative responsibilities, including expense and call reporting.
• Adhere to commercial compliance, corporate, regulatory, and promotional standards.
• Manage the assigned budget and monitor territory expenses.
• Attend medical symposiums and conferences to offer education and promotional support.
• Engage with the PH and ILD community through approved educational initiatives and awareness programs.
• Participate in sales and marketing project teams to boost Tyvaso sales and visibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in nursing or life sciences.
• Over 12 years of experience in pharmaceutical, specialty pharmaceutical, or biotech sectors, successfully selling to specialist physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in cardiovascular and/or pulmonary disease therapeutic areas.
• At least 5 years of experience in specialty pharmaceutical/biotech sales.
• 3+ years of experience selling pharmaceutical products distributed through specialty pharmacies.
• 3+ years of experience collaborating with hospital pharmacies.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience selling within institutional or major teaching center environments, or 3+ years of experience in integrated delivery networks.
• Valid in-state driver’s license.
• Proven track record of sales excellence in hospitals and academic centers.
• Ability to navigate complex health systems, integrated delivery networks, and multi-stakeholder account environments.
• Strong decision-making, planning, and interpersonal skills.
• Execution of marketing strategies and effective use of marketing resources, including educational speaker programs.
• Proficient territory management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to collaborate with team members across various departments.
• Expert-level knowledge of United Therapeutics products and services.
• Capability to work remotely within California.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, primarily in-state.
