Junior Systems Developer, Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee, enhance, and troubleshoot a tailored SharePoint Framework web application created with TypeScript and React.

• Design and refresh application features, custom user interface elements, and supporting data architectures.

• Utilize SharePoint Lists as the operational data backend for application functionality and reporting.

• Construct and improve application modules that support operational tracking, contract management, document routing, travel approvals, and schedule deconfliction.

• Create and sustain automated data pipelines, reporting models, and interactive dashboards utilizing Power BI and Power Query/M.

• Merge various data sources into unified reports for program leadership.

• Oversee automated data refresh processes and address reporting availability or accuracy challenges.

• Design and develop internal data visualization tools, including system architecture diagrams and visualizations for graphs, networks, or data flows.

• Conduct application administration, which includes managing permissions, processing access requests, troubleshooting bugs, and resolving user support concerns.

• Support application operations within secure Department of Defense IT environments and adhere to platform restrictions, approval mandates, and connector limitations.

• Assess development tools, libraries, and technical solutions while recommending architectural or application enhancements.

• Examine source code, data models, workflow schemas, and application configurations to identify maintenance and enhancement needs.

• Independently troubleshoot application issues and implement incremental feature updates.

• Maintain organized, well-commented source code repositories and precise technical documentation.

• Communicate application modifications, technical suggestions, and data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Perform additional duties as assigned or necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in developing custom web applications or solutions using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.

• Familiarity with or strong experience in the SharePoint Framework.

• Hands-on experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI.

• Working knowledge of Power Query/M for data extraction, transformation, and preparation.

• Proficient in troubleshooting software issues, investigating bugs, and assisting application users.

• Capability to comprehend and maintain existing source code, data models, and workflow configurations.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Ability to articulate technical concepts, application updates, and data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Capacity to work independently, manage assigned tasks, and take ownership of application support and development responsibilities.

• Must work effectively within secure Department of Defense IT environments.

• Must be eligible for a Secret clearance and meet requirements, including US Citizenship and a security investigation.

• Currently pursuing or holding an associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
