Junior System Administrator, Monitoring Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the health of products and infrastructure while managing incoming alerts, typically ranging from 150–250 per shift.

• Examine alerts utilizing Grafana dashboards, Zabbix metrics, and internal documentation.

• Resolve issues directly or escalate them as necessary.

• Adhere to runbooks and provided instructions.

• Conduct first-level troubleshooting on both Linux and Windows servers.

• Provide support to primary and senior duty administrators.

• Participate in incident response during significant incidents.

• Independently manage the primary duty shift after onboarding, collaborating with a team across various locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in system administration, monitoring, NOC/duty operations, or technical support.

• Proficient Linux command-line skills, including connections via SSH/VPN, host navigation, and executing Bash scripts.

• Practical experience with Zabbix and Grafana at the user level, covering metrics, hosts, host groups, and dashboards.

• Basic understanding of monitoring principles.

• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.

• Willingness to work on a rotating schedule: a standard 5/2 with 8-hour shifts and 2/2 day and night shifts when covering for the primary duty administrator.

• Proficient in English at a B1 level or higher.

• Strong attention to detail and a responsible work ethic.
