Junior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Review AI-generated code for its functional correctness, readability, maintainability, efficiency, and adherence to software engineering best practices.

• Craft challenging programming problems that evaluate algorithmic thinking, debugging capabilities, implementation quality, and engineering judgment.

• Create precise reference solutions.

• Develop thorough test cases that encompass both functionality and edge cases.

• Evaluate AI-generated technical reasoning related to architecture, system design, debugging, and implementation strategies.

• Detect bugs, inefficient algorithms, suboptimal design choices, security issues, and violations of coding standards.

• Offer detailed, actionable technical feedback aimed at enhancing code quality and model performance.

• Document problem requirements, expected behaviors, solution methodologies, testing protocols, and evaluation outcomes.

• Ensure that coding tasks, reference solutions, and evaluation criteria are accurate, consistent, and reproducible.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one year of professional experience as a software engineer at a reputable technology company.

• A portion of the relevant professional experience should have been acquired within the last three years.

• Strong grasp of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.

• Hands-on experience in writing, debugging, testing, and reviewing code.

• Familiarity with software development methodologies, including version control, code reviews, testing, and debugging.

• Capability to evaluate code for correctness, performance, readability, and maintainability.

• Basic understanding of software architecture and principles of system design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent written communication skills, with the capacity to articulate technical decisions and complex engineering concepts clearly.

• Ability to work autonomously and provide accurate, high-quality technical assessments.

• Must-have skills: software engineering fundamentals; programming and coding; data structures and algorithms; code review and quality assessment; debugging and troubleshooting; automated testing and test case development; problem-solving and logical reasoning; technical documentation and written communication.

• Good-to-have skills: proficiency in Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or similar programming languages; knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns; experience in API development and backend engineering; understanding of software architecture and system design; performance optimization and profiling; familiarity with Git and version control; unit testing and integration testing; CI/CD and software development workflows; evaluation of AI-generated code; acquaintance with AI coding assistants and model benchmarking.

• Preferred: professional software engineering experience at a recognized technology company; experience with production-quality applications, services, or APIs; review of complex codebases; involvement in coding exercises, technical assessments, or automated evaluation tests; clear, structured, and concise communication in English.

• Candidates located in English-speaking countries are preferred.
