Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain features for both frontend and backend of web applications.

• Produce clean, well-documented code and create user interfaces according to design specifications.

• Engage in REST and GraphQL API integrations as well as manage databases.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on both the frontend and backend.

• Write unit tests and integration tests.

• Adhere to security best practices, follow Git workflows, and comply with internal development standards.

• Take part in code reviews and team stand-up meetings.

• Keep the team lead informed about task progress and potential blockers.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance and streamline business processes.

• Utilize Power Digital's Nova ecosystem and carry out related responsibilities as assigned.

• Achieve KPIs such as timely completion of sprint tickets, minimal revisions during code reviews, absence of critical production bugs, adequate test coverage, and prompt follow-up on comments and stand-up action items.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant practical experience.

• Proficient in at least one modern web framework.

• Comfortable writing in JavaScript/TypeScript or an equivalent programming language relevant to the team's technology stack.

• Basic knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs and relational database concepts.

• Familiar with Git and standard version control practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for daily interactions.

• Expected to adhere to working hours in the Pacific time zone.

• Open to giving and receiving feedback during code reviews and asking for assistance when encountering obstacles.

• Eager to learn, accept guidance, and rapidly enhance technical skills.
