Junior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain features for web applications on both the frontend and backend.

• Produce clean, well-documented code and implement user interfaces according to design specifications.

• Engage in REST and GraphQL API integrations and manage databases.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on both the frontend and backend.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliable software releases.

• Adhere to security best practices and internal development standards, including Git workflows.

• Participate in code reviews and team stand-ups.

• Keep the team leader informed about task progress and any obstacles encountered.

• Utilize AI technologies to improve and optimize business processes.

• Leverage Power Digital's Nova ecosystem as it pertains to the department.

• Meet performance benchmarks, including completing over 80% of assigned sprint tickets on schedule, minimizing pull-request revisions, preventing critical production issues, maintaining test coverage, and addressing review comments and stand-up follow-ups within one business day.

• Collaborate with senior engineers and global, cross-timezone teams, using English as the primary working language.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or relevant practical experience.

• Proficiency in at least one modern web framework, with the ability to write JavaScript/TypeScript or a comparable language used in the team's stack.

• Basic understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs and relational databases.

• Familiarity with Git and standard version control practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for documentation, code comments, and interaction with global teams and clients.

• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback during code reviews, and to seek assistance when facing challenges.

• A desire to learn, take direction, and quickly enhance technical skills.

• Expected to work during Pacific time zone hours.
