This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Assist in the administration and upkeep of SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint On-Premises environments
• Create and oversee SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and user permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SharePoint folder and file permissions
• Investigate and rectify permission misconfigurations at the site, library, folder, and file levels
• Provide customer service and address access-related as well as general SharePoint concerns
• Act as a point of contact for support requests related to SharePoint
• Assist with user account management, access controls, and security group assignments
• Help monitor system performance, storage, and usage reports
• Support the migration of content and data to SharePoint
• Develop and maintain documentation, guides, and training materials
• Aid in formulating and executing SharePoint governance policies
• Collaborate on Microsoft 365 integrations, such as Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate
• Participate in testing updates, patches, and new features prior to deployment
• Escalate complex issues to senior administrators
• Follow up with end users post-issue resolution to ensure their satisfaction
• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years of equivalent professional experience
• 2 years of experience in SharePoint administration or a comparable role
• Capability to obtain and maintain a public trust requiring U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card
• Basic understanding of SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint Server
• Proven ability to troubleshoot SharePoint folder and file permission issues, including knowledge of permission inheritance, sharing settings, and access control lists
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications (Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)
• Basic knowledge of user permissions and Active Directory/Azure Active Directory
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the capacity to manage support requests in a professional, patient, and efficient manner
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Preferred: Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, MS-700, or MS-300)
• Preferred: Experience with Power Automate or Power Apps
• Preferred: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JSON for SharePoint customization
• Preferred: Familiarity with SharePoint governance and compliance best practices
• Preferred: Experience with SharePoint migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, SPMT)
• Preferred: Experience using SharePoint admin tools and audit logs to investigate permission and access issues
• Preferred: Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role with a customer-facing focus
