This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Direct and manage educational, administrative, and counseling initiatives.
• Ensure that educational programs adhere to state and local school board standards.
• Research and apply non-K12 curriculum resources that align with state requirements as necessary.
• Communicate the school’s mission and vision while promoting collaboration among stakeholders.
• Utilize communication technologies to support a primarily virtual/remote work setting.
• Ensure adherence to legal requirements concerning special education and categorical programs.
• Engage with students, families, Municipal Court systems, and local districts regarding attendance and engagement compliance.
• Develop and oversee the execution of the Student Achievement Improvement Plan.
• Supervise and assess teaching staff performance.
• Manage teacher performance and offer training for professional growth.
• Oversee Master and Lead Teachers along with their respective programs.
• Consult with teachers, students, and parents on educational and behavioral issues.
• Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment concerning expulsions and withdrawals.
• Directly supervise between 15 to 30 FTE regular employees and/or contractors.
• Conduct interviews, hire, train, assign, guide, evaluate, reward, and discipline staff; address grievances and resolve issues.
• North Carolina Teaching Certification is mandatory.
• Must be a resident of North Carolina.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Master’s degree along with five (5) years of educational experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a required background check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Strong web proficiency.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, and other obligations.
